Major is the information and tourism center of the National Park. From here, you can walk on foot, by bicycle, on horseback, or by horse-drawn carriage to explore the natural values of the Kali Basin.
Salföld is situated in the heart of the Balaton Uplands National Park, with its remarkable geological, botanical and folk architecture, in the gate of the Káli Basin towards Lake Balaton. The National Park Directorate established the Major in the village, where it presents indigenous Hungarian breeds (rackoose, buffalo, gray marten, poultry, shepherd dogs) and horses.
