The village of Hegyesd can be approached from Tapolca through a stone bridge, whereby a statue depicting St. John Nepomuk greet us. The castle ruins can be found on a hilltop top. The former stone-stone could once be built after the Mongol invasion, and in the Middle Ages its owners changed densely. Only nowadays there are only hardly abandoned remnants of its fundamentals and some remaining wall elements.
In the clear weather, the entire area can be seen long enough to reach Sümeg Castle.
